I'm Allison.
This blog was born my freshman year of college when the only writing I was doing involved cover pages and bibliographies. I didn't want to lose my love of writing, so I started blogging. And I liked how it felt-- the process of letting things well up inside me and swirl around in my head until they needed an outlet. That was how I knew what to write about. And even then, I was often still figuring it out as I typed and thought, not really seeing the big picture until the end.
So I'm an unconventional and unimpressive blogger. I don't write unless I have something to say and I don't even read a lot of blogs. If I'm honest, sometimes I think blogging is weird. Often I can't believe that I'm posting my personal thoughts/ramblings on the internet. But every time I do I'm reminded that if I'm encouraged just by writing about what the Lord's teaching me, there's a pretty good chance that other people might be encouraged too. It's mostly about the gospel. About how badly I need it. About how often my heart wanders from truth. About how God is always graciously bringing me back to himself.
Simply put, I write to proclaim the goodness of God and praise him for his saving and sanctifying work in my life. I hope it serves to encourage you, too, in your own pursuit of love and obedience to God.
